Best HDB Apartments in Singapore

The iconic Pinnacle@ Duxton is Singapore’s tallest public housing project and indeed a majestic sight to behold along Cantonment Road.

The 50-storey high building houses 1848 apartments, connected by 7 towering blocks.
The result of the first international design competition for public housing, the Pinnacle is also the first in the world with 2 unique skybridges linking the 7 blocks at the 26th and 50th storey.

Competing with over 200 firms worldwide, the competition was won by Singapore’s own award winning architectural firm, ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism. The young team were able to clinch the top prize (beating even the likes of Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid), with a scheme that impressed the judges as it resolved the complex issues in a simple and elegant manner.

In addition to creating possibly the longest continuous skygardens in the world, these skybridges, which also house a jogging track, offers a panoramic view of the city skyline.

Other features within this housing project include a food centre, day care centre, underground carpark and other sports and recreational facilities. These are some of the unique features that set it apart from other HDB housing projects.
The 26th storey skybridge is reserved for residents’ use only. Facilities on this skybridge include a RC centre, jogging track, senior citizen fitness corner, outdoor gym, children playground, community plaza, fitness corner and 2 view decks.
In keeping with the fact that the Pinnacle is a public housing project, the 50th storey skybridge is open to both residents and the public – so that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of our beautiful city.
